I’ve compiled my classes into a single unified list of my Linkedin Learning tutorials. They’re organised to help you find the topics most relevant to your needs. I’ve added classes on FX (water, fire, smoke, etc), as well as secondary courses on each of the 21 Foundations of Animation. If you need to become a competent animator or designer, look no further. A sample video slide:
And an image slide showing the process of ‘plussing’ a scene to add subtlety:
I know that a Linkedin Learning sub costs money (there is a 1 month free trial though).
If you’re broke, subscribe to my youtube channel where I teach with the free design/animation app KRITA – an absolutely tremendous app, it works really well for hand-drawn animation. It even has a basic audio import feature, newly improved in v5.2. I’ll be using that most of the time, and Photoshop occasionally, though any animation principles shown in one will definitely work in the other. My youtube movies will focus on using free software when possible, as times are tough and cloud subscriptions are a scam.
If you want to support me directly check out my patreon! I’ll be adding new movies there regularly.
Hello. I’ve just started your now archived tutorial on Linked In called Animate CC – Animating Scenes.
The first video is about setting up Animate CC. One of your steps involves installing a set of commands in .jsfl format. I’ve tried copying them into the Commands folder within the Animate application and have also tried adding them using the Run Command menu item. The first method does not lead to the commands showing up in the Command menu. The second method says there’s an error in the script.
So I’m guessing these scripts are out of date. I’m wondering if there is an update for these scripts anywhere. And I’m wondering how critical having them is to following along with the rest of the course.
Thanks for advising.
Stephen
Aha! Maybe you can disregard. Found a different Commands folder in the user library (Mac). The scripts now appear in the Command menu. Will give them a try. Don’t yet know why I was getting an error message earlier.
