This movie took the best part of two months (the animation and art content was created for my Lynda/Linkedin Learning courses over the previous four or five years.
I know there a lot of popular enthusiast videos on youtube explaining Disney’s ’12 Principles of Animation’, so the creation of yet another movie with a different number may seem strange. HOWEVER, these videos are, frankly, inadequate. Not only that – the 12 principles themselves just aren’t comprehensive. Hence the necessity for the ’21 Foundations’ – which I will use to organise my own courses on a more structured basis.
The movie is an animated companion to this long blog post explaining the 21 Foundations and my rationale for creating it.
Over the next few months I’ll be expanding on the 21, writing posts and creating movies focusing on specific foundations of animation, as well as providing links to the relevant tutorials that I’ve created for Lynda/Linkedin-Learning.
